Privacy Policy
HomeworkHub helps you organize homework and optionally use an AI chat for study help, explanations, and attachments. We respect your privacy and keep data handling simple and limited.
Local data
Your homework, notes, and app settings are stored only on your device using AsyncStorage. This includes tasks, due dates, notes, and completion status. We don’t upload, share, or track this data.
AI chat
If you use the AI assistant, the text and any attachments you send are securely transmitted to OpenRouter and the connected AI model provider. That data is used only to generate a reply and isn’t stored by HomeworkHub. It’s not linked to your identity, and we don’t track or advertise based on it.

What we don’t do
We don’t collect analytics, use third‑party ads, or create user profiles.
Security
All AI communication uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Local data stays private on your device and isn’t shared.
Children’s privacy
HomeworkHub is suitable for students of all ages. We don’t knowingly collect personal information. If a child provides personal data during a chat, it’s processed only to create a response and not kept.
Your control
You can delete all local homework and chat data by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage. The app works fully offline if you prefer not to use AI chat.
Changes
If we change how HomeworkHub handles data, this policy will be updated and the “Last updated” date will change.

Support
If you need help, start here. We try to keep things simple.
Quick fixes
- AI chat not responding: Check your internet connection. If it’s fine, try closing and reopening the app.
- Attachments won’t upload: Make sure the file isn’t too large. Try a smaller image or PDF.
- Privacy policy won’t load: If the web page fails, the app shows a fallback. Try again later.
Data & privacy
- Delete data: Uninstalling the app removes all local data stored in AsyncStorage.
- AI requests: Text and attachments you send to AI are transmitted securely to OpenRouter to generate a response. They aren’t stored by HomeworkHub.

Does HomeworkHub work offline? Yes. Homework features work offline. AI chat needs internet.
Do you track me or run ads? No tracking, no ads.
Can I use AI without sharing personal info? Yes. Avoid entering personal details; the AI only needs the study content.
